Cumbria County Strokeplay Championships 2024

The Cumbria Strokeplay Championship is a 72 hole Scratch Golf competition over 2 days. This year it will be played at Penrith Golf Club. Tee times are at 8-10min intervals (Dependant on number of entrants) from 07.30, (again dependant on entries) in 3 balls. There is a limit of 81 entrants for the first day with a cut being made at 40th place and ties using Gross scoring for the second day. On the 2nd day Players will go out in 2 balls in ascending order with the highest qualifying Gross score out first to the lowest qualifying Gross scores out last.

The Winner will be the Player who posts the lowest Gross score total for the 72 holes. In the event of a tie after 72 holes there shall be a sudden death play off to determine the overall winner who will be crowned Champion and receive the County Rose Bowl. He shall be invited to represent Cumbria at the Champion of Champions Competition later in the year at Woodhall Spa Golf Club. Gross prize winners will receive vouchers up to sixth place. This Competition is part of the Master Golfer Event with points allocated up to 8th place.

The player who posts the lowest 72 hole Nett score receives The Tufty Blair Trophy and prize vouchers are awarded for top 3 lowest Nett scores.
