County Competitions Committee
It is the intention that the Cumbria County Matchplay Qualification will revert to the format used in the 2019 season. This is following positive feedback from many competitors.
The Master Golfer for both divisions will also have the same format.
The format will be the best 5 finishes from the below 36 hole events and points gained in the Cumbria County Strokeplay after 4 rounds.

The point allocation for these events are as follows:-
1st 30 Points
2nd 20 Points
3rd 15 Points
4th 12 Points
5th 11 Points
6th 10 Points
7th 9 Points
8th 8 Points
9th 7 Points
10th 6 Points
11th 5 Points
12th 4 Points
13th 3 Points
14th 2 Points
15th 1 Point
Competitors tied will share the allocated points.
Division 1 Handicap 1.4 and lower
Division 2 Handicap 1.5 to 6.4
The top 16 in division 1 will progress to the Cumbria County Matchplay Finals. Which will be held at Carlisle Golf Club on the 14th & 15th August 2021.
Competitors who are eligible for division 2 can still score points in division 1 to enable the chance to progress to the Cumbria County Matchplay Finals.
The leader of division 1 after Carlisle 36 Hole Scratch will be crowned Master Golfer and will be top seed for the Matchplay Finals.
