Congratulations go to the top duo of Kieran Waters and Stephen Jopson for winning the County 4's at Carlisle Golf Club on Sunday 20th May 2018. On a beautiful sunny day the course lit up and showed itself to its very best for the 33 teams that would fight for the title of county 4's Champion 2018. The Betterball competition in the morning showed the course was accessible if the ball was put on the fairway but the afternoon Foursomes Competition showed that the course would bite back as only 3 scores under the par of 71 would be recorded. William Bowe and his new partner Richard Mewse put up a spirited fight to try to hold on to the title he won last year but the pair bogeyed 17 and 18 to record a 137 total which was only good enough for 2nd place.
Kieran Waters, the County Champion for 2017, and Stephen Jopson a top County player played their home course beautifully to record a magnificent 131 or the day.
