CLCGA County Championships 36 Holes 1 Rules

1. Played on a recognised County course, approved by the County Handicap Advisor.
2. Open to Ladies with a WHS handicap index up to and including 20.4.
3. The competition is played over three days in the following format:
• Day 1 – 36 holes Stroke play. Players with the best 16 gross scores, who are available, qualify for the Cumbria Ladies Championship. Qualifiers will be placed into a seeded draw, played off scratch.
• The best gross score over 36 holes to be awarded the Relph Trophy. Prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd nett and best nett Veterans (Over 65).
• The best gross score over the first 18 holes to be awarded a prize. Prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd nett and best nett Veterans (Over 65)
• A player can only win one prize on Day 1 of the Championships.
• Day 2 – Morning – The first round of match play (16 qualifiers).
• Day 2 – Afternoon – The second round of match play (8 qualifiers).
• Day 3 – Morning – Championship semi-finals (match play).
• Day 3 – Afternoon – Championship final (match play).
4. In the event of a tie, after 18 holes match play, the number and order of holes to be played will be stipulated prior to commencement of the Matchplay rounds.
5. Referees will be available for the semi-finals and the final.
6. Prizes awarded to the County Champion, runner-up and semi-finalists.
