Ulverston Worthy Champions
Some excellent golf was played at Grange Over Sands Golf Club this week-end. The course was well presented and proved a test for the players basking in summer sunshine. In the semi finals , Penrith A beat Seascale A. The other semi, between Ulverston and Workington A ended in a tie after 18 holes with both foursomes also tying.. Ulverston won the tie-breaker.
The Final was won by Ulverston by a clear margin. President Malcolm thanked Grange for hosting the event as he presented the shield to Robbie Spence, also in the Ulverston Team were Luke Quint, Kerry Morrow and Michael Reid. .
